TBC assists in the start-up and expansion of new and existing businesses in the Parry Sound and Nipissing districts. Blue Sky Net Economic Growth Corporation

Northern Ontario Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative

This initiative has been at the forefront of youth entrepreneurship initiatives in Northern Ontario since 2001. Their team believes that creating an entrepreneurial mindset in youth will bring to the forefront the opportunities entrepreneurship as a viable career option will present. Business Development Bank of Canada

BDC is a commercial Crown corporation owned by the Government of Canada, and the only bank dedicated solely to entrepreneurs. Their mission is to help create and develop Canadian businesses through traditional and subordinate financing, venture capital and consulting services, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce

The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce has championed the cause of business, being the only organization that serves ALL businesses. Canada Business Network

As a collaborative arrangement among federal departments and agencies, provincial and territorial governments and not-for-profit entities, the Canada Business Network promotes entrepreneurship and innovation, and provides assistance through an organized network of service centres across Canada. There is a centre in each province and territory working with partners in many communities across their region, providing you with numerous service access points.


Canadian Youth Business Foundation

CYBF is a national non-profit organization dedicated to growing our nation’s economy one young entrepreneur at a time. It’s about character, not collateral, when CYBF provides youth aged 18 to 39 with pre-launch coach, business resources, start-up financing and mentoring to help them launch and sustain successful businesses.


Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation

The NOHFC is a crown corporation and development agency of the Ontario government that invests in northern businesses and municipalities through conditional contributions, forgivable performance loans, incentive term loans and loan guarantees. Browse their seven funding programs that can help you launch or sustain your business, and let them know how your business plans will benefit the North and create jobs for your region.


Ontario Trillium Foundation

The OTF is Canada’s leading grant-making foundation, and an agency of the Government of Ontario. The Foundation’s goal is to build healthy and vibrant communities throughout Ontario, and to strengthen the capacity of the voluntary sector through investments in community-based initiatives. To make great grants, program staff rely on volunteers to bring their knowledge of local community needs and sectoral expertise to the grant review process.
